"And now we will listen for your baby's heartbeat," our midwife said last night. I don't know why but I never expect to be able to do something that amazing each time we go for a pregnancy check-up. I guess I am still awestruck that our baby is growing inside Jessi.
Last night, at our first meeting after switching to a new midwife, our midwife pull out this small device, put it up to Jessi's belly, and there it was. The rapid sound of our baby's heartbeat at about 150 BPM. Hearing that definitely quickened the pace of my heartbeat. It also makes the whole reality of being a father more...real.
