I forgot I was pregnant.

Its funny with no significant symptoms its easy to forget I'm pregnant. Today I answered an emergency call at work to deal with a student acting violently (like I typically do). The student needed to be physically transported and I started picking her up while she is kicking fiercely (using the special techniques I am trained in of course) without a second thought. My co-worker (one of only two that knew I was pregnant) stepped in and said, "I'll do that." Then I realized, "oh, I shouldn't be doing this because I am pregnant." Most likely there would not have been any problem, but I should not take the risk. I decided to tell the principals of the alternative schools that I'm pregnant and will not be playing an active role for emergency calls.

I am sitting in the doctor's office for my first prenatal visit. Maybe after this visit it will feel more real. At times, I think I am still waiting for my period to start--not believing a 100% that I'm pregnant.
