This is my eighth week. Jo-Jo, which is what we have endearingly named the fetus, is about the size of a pinto bean. His or her heart already has chambers and valves; eyes, ears, and nose are starting to form, and his/her arm buds are growing and developing elbows. Isn't that fascinating! All this development is sure making me tired. I sleep at least eight hours and still wake up so tired. Its hard to maintain my regular pace at work and with my class and practicum, but I am pushing through. December 1st I will be finished with my practicum and my last class ends the second week of December. Then I graduate! And since I decided to stay at least one more year at my current school district, I don't have to start applying for a job and will have more free time. Well, this weekend I am getting a lot of extra sleep and feeling more energized.
Jessi, I'm so glad you have this experience to share your thoughts. It's beautiful to read your reflections! I hope you got lots of sleep this weekend, and I look forward to reading more. :)
